The Phlebotomy non-credit certificate program is available only at Mercy College's Toledo campus and offers content pertaining to routine venipuncture and dermal techniques; non-blood collection procedures; proper specimen handling; safety and infection control; venipuncture equipment; complications; medical ethics; confidentiality; and effective communication. Students will also learn about the function of a full-service laboratory. The clinical experience is scheduled as if it were a full-time job (day shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, no evenings or weekend hours).

As provided in their statement, the scam is currently presented as “phone calls from IRS impersonators demanding payment for a non-existent tax, the ‘Federal Student Tax.’” The IRS’ statement includes further explanation of what the scam includes, how students and taxpayers can protect their information, and how the IRS is responding to the issue. Institutions may want to make their students aware of this scam and the potential harm it may cause. If you have questions about the FSA ID, you can find the answers to frequently asked questions here. If you need assistance logging in with your FSA ID, contact Student Aid at 1-800-557-7394. The Federal Student Aid PIN was replaced with the FSA ID on May 10, 2015. The new FSA ID consists of a user-created username and password to electronically access personal information on Federal Student Aid Web sites, including FAFSA on the Web. You can use your FSA ID immediately to sign your FAFSA, but must wait for the Social Security Administration (SSA) to verify your information before you can use the FSA ID to create a renewal FAFSA, make corrections to your FAFSA, or view your SAR.
