Dash Emergency Grant

The Dash Emergency Grant provides assistance to undergraduate students taking at least 6 credit hours at risk of dropping out of college due to an unforeseen financial emergency. The Dash Emergency Grant through Mercy College is here to support students, help them stay in college and secure a better financial future. Students may apply for up to $1000 in emergency funds (bills will be paid directly to the third-party) and be awarded one-time. Supporting documents will be required as part of the application process. The Dash Emergency Grant can only be awarded during the semester. Awards will not be given during breaks or in between semesters.

  • Must have an EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of $7,000 or less

Students may request up to $1000 in emergency funds. Documentation of the financial emergency will be required.

If eligible, we will call you to schedule an in person or phone meeting. During the meeting, you will discuss your request and documentation will be reviewed.


You will receive a follow-up email after the meeting, informing you of your award and what further steps may need to be taken.

If your request is approved, a Dash Emergency Grant team member will work with you to make payment arrangements. Payments will be processed within two business days.
