The Mercy College Food Pantry on the Toledo campus provides free food and toiletry items for Mercy College students, faculty and staff who may be experiencing hunger or struggling to buy food for their household. This is an increasing need on campuses across the country and our Mission and Values call us to respond to this need with compassion and respect for human dignity. It is hard to study or concentrate in class when you have to skip a meal. It’s stressful enough to make it through clinicals without worrying about what your children will eat for dinner. Everyone needs a little help now and then.
To learn more about how to request food or receive more information, please email email@example.com. If you are at the Youngstown location and need food assistance, please contact Ann Bair at firstname.lastname@example.org or 330-480-2874.
In addition to supplemental food, we also provide resources to students who need long-term food assistance or are in need of help with housing, childcare, or covering the cost of student uniforms & supplies. Please contact Kristen Porter at email@example.com or 419-251-1339 to get connected with these resources.
This effort is supported by the Division of Student Affairs and is operated by the Office of Campus Ministry & Service Learning and the Office of Career, Professional Development, and Retention.
Supporting the Mercy College Food Pantry
We are thankful to be a registered pantry with Seagate Food Bank of Northwest Ohio. However, we also rely on donations to assist our students who reside in Michigan as well to provide hygiene and other household items.
See below for a list of our top items needed (this list will be updated periodically). Donations can be brought to Madison 5706 or placed in the collection box near the 5th floor Madison elevators by the Testing Center. If you would like to make a monetary donation to the Mercy College Food Pantry, contact Sandy Snyder at firstname.lastname@example.org or 419-696-7645.
