Mercy College participates in American Heart Month
Led by the Cardiovascular Technology Associate Degree program, Mercy College of Ohio has held multiple events in recognition of American Heart Month in February.
Members of the college community participated in a GO RED for Women/Jeans Day. Through the fundraiser, $230.00 was collected and added to the Team Mercy College Heart Walk donations.
Each year, Cardiovascular Professionals week is celebrated during American Hearth Month. For the 2016 Cardiovascular Professionals week celebration, students, faculty members, and administration attended an informal networking reception at the college. The second year ultrasound students (Echocardiography and Vascular Technology) were able to share some insight with the first year (ECG technician) students. Students taking pre-requisite classes at the college attended the event as well and were able to learn more about the program directly from current students.
