If you have not done so already, Create Your Empower Me! Account. EMPOWER ME! is an online student information system that enables students to access their academic record and financial aid information, register for courses and much more. EMPOWER ME! also gives prospective students access to view their application status.
All new incoming undergraduate students are required to pay the non-refundable enrollment deposit upon admission to the College. The deposit will be used toward the balance of your first bill upon enrolling. There are two ways to pay the enrollment deposit.
- Pay the enrollment deposit online with a debit or credit card: Pay Enrollment Deposit.
- Contact the Bursar’s office directly to make a payment over the phone at 419-251-2025.
Please Note: Enrollment Deposits are automatically waived for BSMH Employees, Recent Mercy College Graduates, and students that have attended Healthcare Worker Wednesday or an On-campus Information Session.

Students in land-based programs are strongly encouraged to meet with their academic advisor prior to attending New Student Orientation (NSO). This meeting is an important opportunity to discuss your academic and career goals, ensure you’re on the right path, and receive personalized guidance tailored to your program of study.
By connecting with your advisor in advance, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of which courses best support your goals, feel more confident during the registration process at NSO, and be better prepared to make informed decisions about your schedule. Starting this conversation early helps set you up for a smoother and more successful first term.
All students are required to take part in New Student Orientation. Please visit www.mercycollege.edu/nso to select a date and time that works best for you. At orientation, students will set up Mercy College email, obtain student badge, meet with academic advising, register for courses, and much more.
Students currently taking courses at another institution or finishing high school must be sure to request that final transcripts be sent to Mercy College. This ensures that all completed coursework is reviewed for transfer credit and all final grades have been documented. Final transcripts should be sent to:
- As a PDF emailed to admissions@mercycollege.edu (acceptable for high schools only)
- Electronically through a 3rd party service such as Parchment, Credential Solutions, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.
- By mail to:

Depending on the program that a student is admitted to, additional requirements may be required, including Background Checks, Drug Screens, and Health Records, a program-specific meeting, and/or other necessary paperwork. Some programs require an assessment test and/or program orientation. This information will be sent to you separately.

Math placement assessment is a computerized assessment that provides information about a student’s math skills and preparation for college-level coursework.
Students required to take the math placement assesment are notified by their academic advisor.

Undergraduate online students (Medical Imaging, RN to BSN, RN to MSN, and Surgical Technology) schedule a time to meet with your academic advisor virtually by visiting mercycollege.edu/advising or by contacting the Student Success Center at 419-251-8955.
Graduate online students (MSN) schedule your academic advising appointment with your faculty advisor, Dr. Jennifer Keiser, at bit.ly/4cXgMvu.
Once you have touched base with your academic advisor and received a program of study, you are ready to register for courses in your Student Portal account.

All online students are required to complete a Virtual New Student Orientation, which is in our learning management system, Canvas.
Students will gain access to Canvas 24 hours after registering for courses. Your Canvas log in information is the same as your Empower ME login information
Upon logging in to Canvas, you will see a tile on your dashboard for the Blue Healer Hub. Once in the Blue Healer Hub, scroll down and select “All Students Start Here.” After completing this module, return to the Blue Healer Hub homepage and select “Online Student Programs – Required New Student Orientation.” This orientation includes the required Title IX Sexual Violence and Harassment training for all Mercy College students. Please complete this before classes begin, as it provides essential information about college resources and processes.
After you complete the virtual NSO, you will receive an email at your Mercy College address from DocuSign with a packet of electronic forms. These forms must be reviewed, digitally signed, and returned before the start of the semester.
Mercy College of Ohio offers an online bookstore through ECampus. After registering for classes, students should access the online bookstore to order textbooks. Instructions and online bookstore information:

Upon meeting with the CCP Academic Advisor, students will receive an enrollment form via DocuSign in their Mercy College email. This form must be signed and submitted before students can be enrolled in courses.
CCP students have two ways in which they can complete new student orientation:
- Attend an in-person orientation on our main campus. Please visit www.mercycollege.edu/nso to select a date and time to attend.
- OR, Complete the online CCP student virtual orientation in our learning management system, Canvas. Students will gain access to Canvas 24 hours after registering for courses. To ensure we have the most current academic records on file, please ask your high school counselor to send an updated transcript to Mercy College each semester. Updated transcripts should be emailed to admissions@mercycollege.edu. Maintaining current transcripts is required for CCP students to remain eligible for enrollment and course registration.
