Alumni Spotlight: Meghan Donovan
"Having time to reflect, my experience at Mercy College not only gave me the knowledge needed for a career in nursing but also provided the necessary foundational skills needed to thrive in a professional environment. These skills include but are not limited to communication, accountability, and continued curiosity for future learning endeavors.
The most rewarding part of the Mercy College experience was the small class sizes. I truly believe that because the classes are smaller, this led to better instruction, one-on-one assistance when needed, and the opportunity to connect and bond with classmates on a more personal level.
Since graduating from Mercy College, I spent several years in critical care and peri-operative services at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, NY. In 2021, I graduated from New York University (NYU) with a Master's in Nursing Education. I currently work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan as a Nurse Educator specializing in Safe Patient Handling and Early Mobility. I am also adjunct faculty at NYU as a clinical instructor for the undergraduate nursing program."
