Youngstown Campus Nursing Students Give to Those in Need
Mercy College Youngstown Campus Nursing students partnered with Mc Donald High School Art Club to collect money, toys, books, art supplies, and gift cards for the needy in their local community. The success of this drive provided for the following: money towards Christmas Eve dinner & gifts for children on the Akron Main Campus 5600 Oncology Unit; several boxes of art supplies to be used for art therapy were given to Akron Children's Boardman & Main Campus, the Mahoning County Rescue Mission Family Services, Sojourner House, Mercy Health Youngstown Pediatric Clinic, Akron Children’s SANE department; and a Children's Crafty Christmas Tree to be submitted in the Mercy Health Youngstown Festival of Trees fundraiser for employees in need. Their efforts show that the students are truly living our mission by caring for their community.
