Pediatric and Pregnant Volunteers Needed
The Mercy College of Ohio Physician Assistant Program is asking for volunteers for a OB/Prenatal lab on Wednesday, July 19 at 6PM in the PA lab space 6th floor on the Madison Avenue side of the building. We are looking for volunteers who are at least 20 weeks pregnant at the time of the lab. PA students will be measuring fundal height (measurement of the height of woman’s abdomen), listening for the baby’s heart rate, and checking for any leg swelling. The Mercy College of Ohio Physician Assistant Program is also in need of volunteers for Pediatric Labs. There will be two labs held on Thurs July 6 from 1-3pm and Friday, July 14 morning/afternoon in PA lab space 6th floor Madison. We will set times for the Friday Lab pending volunteer availability. We are looking for pediatric volunteers who are age infant through about age 12. Our PA students will be performing a standard physical assessment (visual assessment, checking ears/nose/mouth/throat, listening to chest/belly, etc).
