MHA Student Selected for Prestigious Fellowship Program

Garrett horizontal

Mercy College of Ohio Master of Health Administration (MHA) student Garrett Brown has been accepted to the prestigious Bon Secours Mercy Health Administrative Fellowship Program. He will begin the one-year fellowship in June and work full-time for the new Kings Mill Hospital president. The Fellowship Program is designed to prepare participants for management and upper management positions with specific skill sets, exposing them to all facets of the management of the health system. Garrett says, “I’m most interested in operations, mission and ethics, and human resources and talent acquisition, but I’m eager to taste everything and see what I like best!”

Garrett was in need of more graduate credit hours to become a board-certified chaplain when his supervisor suggested Mercy College. He says, “The fully online format has been great. The MHA program has been the perfect pace with weekly deadlines, flexibility, and relevant content. I have a much better understanding of the operations and complexity of a health system." Garrett adds, “With the fellowship starting in June and graduation in August, I’m excited about my future and eager to see where the next chapter leads me!”
