Mercy College of Ohio Unveils New Library with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
In a continued effort to invest in the health and well-being of our community through the education of our next generation of healthcare workers, Mercy College of Ohio celebrated the grand opening of its new library with a ribbon cutting September 10.
The newly designed library is the final phase of a 20,000-square-foot renovation to the sixth floor of the building, which also includes a Learning Commons and a Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence. The Health Science Library is strategically located closer to classrooms, enhancing accessibility and convenience for students. It offers a range of collaborative spaces, engineered private areas, and innovative wired furniture to support personal devices, all aimed at accommodating diverse study preferences.
Becki Daniels, MLS, M.Ed., Library Director at Mercy College of Ohio, expressed her enthusiasm for the new space, stating, "Our new library is designed with an open floor plan that seamlessly integrates library bookshelves into the overall layout, significantly improving the student experience. We have carefully crafted the environment to meet the varied needs of our students and users, ensuring it serves as a hub for learning, collaboration, and innovation."
This event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to provide Mercy College of Ohio students with top-tier resources and facilities.
