Exceptional Faculty Contributions Recognized
At the end of the spring semester faculty awards were selected from 93 nominations. These awards celebrate the talent, commitment, and creativity our faculty bring to their work—impacting students, colleagues, and the community.
Treasure Sucheck, PhD received the award Outstanding Scholarship that honors faculty who have made significant scholarly contributions—through research, publications, presentations, mentoring, and advancing their field.
Dana Eskins, EdD, was presented the Award for Exceptional Service recognizes faculty members who make significant contributions to Mercy College through institutional service, committee leadership, professional engagement, and community initiatives. This award celebrates exceptional commitment to service excellence while promoting a culture of communal engagement that aligns with the College's mission.
There were two recipients of the Excellence in Teaching Award that recognizes faculty who truly inspire their students, create welcoming and effective learning environments, and show remarkable teaching skills. Tami Steveson, PhD and Tyler Gossett, MSPAS both received the award.
(Not pictured) The Adjunct Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award underscores the valuable role that adjunct faculty play in achieving the College's educational mission and honors faculty who go above and beyond in the classroom—supporting students, using creative teaching approaches, and contributing to student success. This year’s recipient is Jan Donley, PhD.
