    The Phlebotomy non-credit certificate program is available only at Mercy College's Toledo campus and offers content pertaining to routine venipuncture and dermal techniques; non-blood collection procedures; proper specimen handling; safety and infection control; venipuncture equipment; complications; medical ethics; confidentiality; and effective communication. Students will also learn about the function of a full-service laboratory. The clinical experience is scheduled as if it were a full-time job (day shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, no evenings or weekend hours).

    If you want a short-term program that will allow you to work directly with patients in a challenging, high-tech and in-demand career, Mercy College’s Polysomnographic Technology Certificate program might be the perfect program for you. Polysomnographic Technologists are the health care practitioners who perform and help interpret sleep studies, which gather extensive data concerning an individual’s physiologic activity while sleeping. Our program will prepare students to work as part of the healthcare team in the growing fields of sleep medicine and polysomnography.
