Students Participate in Tent City
Mercy College Bachelor of Science (BSN) Nursing students participated in Tent City on October 23, 2021, in downtown Toledo. This was a festival of compassion where volunteers provided medical and dental services, discussed employment opportunities and the return to housing, and distributed food, clothing, and other services to those in need. Prior to the event, Mercy College students led a college-wide collection of shampoo, soap, lip balm, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, and new or gently used hats, coats, and gloves. These items were distributed during Tent City and students spent the day assisting in the free clothing tent and performing blood sugar tests.
