Nursing Students Participate in Disaster Drill
On Wednesday September 14, some of Mercy College's Associate of Applied Science in Nursing senior students volunteered to participate in the Emergency Medicine Resident EMS Day Mass Casualty Incident Drill out at Owen’s Community College. The students simulated victims in a variety of medical emergencies. The event was used to get experience with how a mass casualty event may take place in the safety of a drill atmosphere with individuals from local fire departments and EMS residents. Bringing together different professions in a simulated environment helps us all to work together better and learn and grow in our own professions.
