Mercy College of Ohio Enrollment Increases
Mercy College of Ohio’s spring enrollment is 1199 students, an increase of 88 or 7.9% from spring 2015. The Toledo Campus has 1038 students compared to 985 in 2015, up 5.4%. The Youngstown location has 161 students compared to 126 in 2015, up 27.8%.
Susan C. Wajert, PhD, Mercy College President and CEO noted, “We are pleased with the increase in enrollment. The growth is primarily the result of significant enrollment increases in the RN to BSN and the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging online completion programs. The RN to BSN curriculum was streamlined making it more cost efficient and shorter in length. These two factors, along with more employers encouraging RNs to obtain their bachelor’s degrees have resulted in the program’s enrollment more than doubling. Additionally, being part of Mercy Health gives students access to the area’s leading healthcare facilities and clinical spaces. This helps students make the most of their financial aid eligibility, a consideration that is more important now than ever under the new financial aid regulations.”
