Alumni Spotlight: Codey Tyda
“I know that my education at Mercy has shaped me in ways that no other school could.”
Codey Tyda is third-year medical student at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center. He is a 2013 graduate of Mercy College's Radiologic Technology program and a 2015 graduate of Mercy College's Biology program. He is currently pursuing his medical degree and highly values his Mercy education. "It’s critical to have compassion for our patients which is one of the first of six core values that Mercy has instilled in me. I have had the opportunity to start my training as a radiologic technology student and then transition into biology and finally into medical school," Tyda stated. "Now that I am in my third year of medical school, and back at the hospital that started this passion and pursuit, I know this would not be possible at any other university near me. I have made connections that are life-long and am pursuing my dream to become a physician."
