$10,000 Scholarship Opportunity for Mercy College Nursing Student in Clinicals
In an effort to recruit and retain exceptional nurses to the Mercy Health team, and reward outstanding individuals who exemplify the Mercy Health Mission, the Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Staff has funded a $10,000 scholarship for one nursing student currently attending Mercy College.
The scholarship will be awarded to a Mercy College student in his/her final year of nursing. The student must currently be rounding at a Mercy Health facility or has already completed a rotation at Mercy Health facility. The student must submit a letter of recommendation from the Mercy Health clinical supervisor they rounded under.
Eligibility
- Preference given to any nursing student in their final year of the program that is or has rounded in a Mercy Health facility.
- Must be in good status at Mercy College and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Selection is based on merit and financial need. Recipients are selected by a selection committee based on the application.
Application
Applications will only be accepted via email until June 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. To apply, students need to complete the scholarship application form and return the completed form to Mercy Health Foundation by emailing it to Barbara_Lang@mercy.com. Any questions, please reach out via email.
Recipient checks will be paid directly to Mercy College in order to be compliant with IRS. The applicant must provide their student ID # for the scholarship to be awarded.
