Student Health Insurance: Mercy College of Ohio will no longer be offering or providing health insurance coverage for any student as of 8/21/2025. Mercy College strongly recommends that all students obtain and maintain appropriate health insurance throughout their program enrollment to cover their healthcare needs. Although Mercy College does not require a student to have health insurance to enroll in a College program, any student who seeks a clinical rotation or similar experience at a hospital or other healthcare facility as part of their program may be separately required by that hospital or facility to obtain and maintain health insurance coverage at all times during that rotation or experience. Please contact your program leader for more information about those requirements before you seek that rotation or experience.
Mercy College further recommends that each student verify their current health insurance coverage if you have not already done so. Please understand that if you choose not to obtain and maintain health insurance coverage, or if you lose health insurance coverage for any reason during your program enrollment, your will be solely and financially responsible for all health care costs that you may incur. If you do not currently have applicable health insurance coverage through your employer, family, or other means, you may visit https://healthcare.gov for further options.
As always, if you are experiencing a medical emergency at any time, please call 9-1-1 immediately.
