Program Selection Criteria
The Radiologic Technology Program admits students through a selective, point-based admission process. To be considered for acceptance, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and earn at least 8 points in the evaluation process. Admission is competitive, and applicants with the highest point totals will be offered seats in the program. Notification of acceptance or alternate status will be sent via the applicant’s Mercy College email account. Please note that meeting the minimum GPA and point requirements does not guarantee admission into the program.
Applicants may earn points based on the following:
- Grade Point Average (GPA) (Maximum: 13 points)
- Prerequisite Program Points (Maximum: 12 points)
Grade Point Average (GPA):
- Applicant’s GPA will be calculated using grades from all completed General Education courses.
- An applicant’s most recent GPA will be used if currently enrolled in General Education courses.
- If an applicant does not meet the requirement to be evaluated as a college applicant, (refer to the College Catalog) their high school GPA will be used.
