Description | The Clothesline Project is a visual display of T-shirts that are created by survivors and other caring individuals to symbolize those who have suffered from sexual assault, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse abuse, physical assault or death. These shirts have been created by members of the Mercy College community. The purpose of The Clothesline Project is to increase awareness of the impact of violence and abuse, to honor a survivor’s strength to continue, and to provide another avenue for them to courageously break the silence that often surrounds their experience. Along with the display itself, there will also be a Sexual Assault Awareness Month resource table and prevention/ support pledges for members of the Mercy College community to sign. |
