Billing Dates

Bills for the Fall 2023 semester will be available in Empower on Friday, August 4, 2023. Payment is due on Friday, September 15, 2023. Due dates for students participating in a payment plan are the 15th of September, October, November, and December.

Bills for the Spring 2024 semester will be available in Empower on Friday, January 5, 2024. Payment is due by Friday, January 26, 2024. Due dates for students participating in a payment plan are the 26th of January, February, March, and April.

Bills for the Summer 2024 semester will be available in Empower on Friday, April 19, 2024. Payment is due by Friday, May 24, 2024. Due dates for students participating in a payment plan are the 24th of May, June, and July.

Incidental Costs

The following expenses are the responsibility of the student:

Mercy College of Ohio does not charge out-of-state tuition.

Mercy College of Ohio Board of Trustees reviews tuition and fees and approves tuition increases. The College reserves the right to make changes as necessary. Undergraduate Tuition: Tuition costs are calculated by number of credit hours per semester. Cost per credit hour: $540 Note: Credit certificates, non-credit certificates, and graduate programs have different costs than undergraduate programs. Course exemption by examination: Exempted courses are determined through examination. Exempted courses do not count for credit.

General fee: A per credit hour fee charged each semester (fall, spring, and summer) to cover the costs of educating students at Mercy College of Ohio.

Auxiliary fee: A flat fee charged to all students each semester (fall, spring, and summer). This fee provides safety and security services and resources to both online and land-based students.

Student services fee: A flat fee charged to all students enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours during fall and spring semesters. This fee covers all college-sanctioned organizations and events whether land-based or online.

Technology fee: A flat fee charged each semester (fall, spring, and summer) required by all students enrolled at Mercy College of Ohio. The funds from this fee are used to maintain and upgrade technological resources, laboratory/simulation equipment, computers, software, etc., and provide updated technology for student learning support.

Matriculation fee: A one-time matriculation fee is assessed to all students entering Mercy College of Ohio in the first semester of enrollment. This fee covers administration, orientation, and graduation fees for all students enrolling in credit bearing certificate programs, associate, and bachelor’s degree programs.

Deposit: A nonrefundable tuition deposit is required of all students accepted to Mercy College of Ohio. This deposit confirms the student’s intention to enroll in a College program beginning any semester. The deposit is credited toward the student’s first semester tuition account.

Student health insurance: Note: Spring pro-rated insurance information for 2023-2024 will be updated as soon as it is available. To comply with federal law, Mercy College of Ohio’s insurance program is mandatory for students enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours and for students in clinical settings. To waive enrollment in the program, students must have health insurance that meets the basic minimum requirements. All undergraduate students enrolled in 6 or more credit hours, all graduate students enrolled in 6 or more credit hours and all certificate program students (taking 1 or more credit hours) are automatically enrolled in and billed for annual health insurance coverage. All non-credit students will be enrolled in coverage for their cohort at the pro-rated per semester rate of $670.00. Students can waive the insurance by logging into their Empower Me account and clicking on the student insurance waiver link.
