Jennifer Jones
Jennifer Jones is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with over 20 years of experience in acute care, managed care, and academic settings. Ms. Jones has been with Mercy College since 2009. She is an Associate Professor and serves as the Program Director for the Health Information Technology and Medical Coding Certificate programs. Ms. Jones holds an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology from Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio; a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Toledo; and a Master of Science in Academic Program Administration and Leadership from Nebraska Methodist College. Ms. Jones’ areas of clinical expertise include the release of information, physician credentialing audits, clinical documentation compliance audits, CMS risk adjustment, HEDIS, and fraud & abuse audits.
