Mail Process for the College
Following is the College mail process for Friday, December 18 through January 1, when the College is working entirely remote or on PTO for the holidays.
The College mail will be held in the Mail Room. Gina Schultz will be coming into the College on Monday and Wednesday of each of these weeks at 12 noon. She will be in the building to pick up the mail (at the mailroom as they will hold the College mail there), sort it at the front desk and scan the transcripts for the Admission Team so we can continue to process applications for Spring.
When Gina sorts the mail she will do so at the Front Desk area and will put mail into the bins that are behind the front desk. She will do the following specific tasks:
- Sort out the Castle Branch items for Janice and will put them in her mailbox on the 6th floor for Janice to pick up.
- Sort out the items for the Business Office and put these items in the mail slot in the Bursar’s Office for Diane and Nicole to pick up.
- Sort out the mail for Executive staff and place that mail in the mailboxes on the 6th floor.
- Sort the mail for Financial Aid and Cheryle Harrison will be coming in on Monday and Wednesday’s at 12 noon to pick up this mail and process as appropriate.
- All other mail will be sorted by department (Library, Registrar, Advising, Student Affairs, Nursing, 2nd Floor offices, 4th Floor Faculty, etc.) and placed in a bin located behind the front desk on the 6th floor. PLEASE NOTE: Intent to Enroll Forms will not be scanned for this specific time period.
Our goal is to continue the processing of applications for Spring enrollment with Gina in the building for the least amount of time. That is the reason this process is being put in place. I do not want Gina in the building any longer than necessary for her safety.
Thanks for your assistance and cooperation with this process during December 18 and January 1.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This year, Mercy College of Ohio is raising funds for the Student Emergency Fund, a fund that assists students with unforeseen financial emergencies that would prevent them from continuing their education at Mercy College. The fund is sustained by contributions from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the College. The number of students who can be served by the Student Emergency Fund is determined by the availability of funds.
