Updates from the Enrollment Division

Happy Spring! The Mercy College Enrollment Division hopes that you are enjoying this warmer weather and your Spring is off to a great start!!

A few items of note from Enrollment:

Students were provided a second opportunity to apply for CARES Act 2 money that the College received from the federal government. The application process closed yesterday and we will be awarding approximately 90 additional students with money to assist them due to Covid. The money will be processed in the next two weeks and will be sent directly to the student. If you receive any questions from students regarding the monies, please direct them to the Bursar’s Office.

The Admissions Team is busy recruiting new students to the College. Summer continues to trend ahead of last year and the Fall continues to be either flat or behind in numbers compared to last year. With student’s returning to in-person classes in the high schools we are receiving a few invitations for in-person visits. Please know that Admissions will continue to do all possible to recruit students for the Fall 2021 semester and meet our credit hour goals and numbers.

Please mark your calendar for Alumni Weekend! It is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 25 and 26, 2021. The events are being planned in both an in-person and virtual format. Our hope is to be in-person, however it is subject to change based on the status of the pandemic at that time.

Please note the following from Marketing and Communications: If you are sending an attachment with your email that is going to the general public and you do not want anyone to be able to edit the document, please make sure you send it in PDF format.

The Strategic Planning and Budgeting Council met last Friday, March 19 and approved the new Signature Block for all Faculty and Staff to use on their email. The reason for having one standard Signature Block on College emails is to provide “One Voice, One Message” from all at the College. Email is the official form of Communication for the College and it is important that we have a standard look to our emails that are for business purposes. The new email Signature Block will be sent to all faculty and staff this week in a separate email. It will also include the process and date to complete this by. Please watch your email for the information to come directly from Lori Edgeworth. If you have questions with this, please do not hesitate to contact Lori directly.

Mercy College Food Drive April 5- 9, 2021 - Toledo Campus

Food pantry drive april 2021

Help us re-stock the Mercy College Food Pantry! Here are the items that we are especially in need of:

  • Oatmeal
  • Macaroni & Cheese
  • Granola bars
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Pasta sauce
  • Canned soup
  • Canned vegetables
  • Cheerios
  • Rice

If you are working on campus, you may drop items off in the collection bin at the welcome desk on the 6th floor of the Jefferson building.

If you are working remotely, you may drop them off curbside between Noon-1:00 p.m. on April 6, 7, or 8th.

If you have questions or need to arrange another time to drop off items, please contact foodpantry@mercycollege.edu.
