Invitation to the College Community: Radiology Poster Presentation and Open House

The Radiologic Technology Program invites the entire College community to an event on Tuesday, April 19 from 9:30-11 a.m.
First, it is a Poster Presentation given by our graduating 2nd Year students. The posters will discuss many different aspects of radiation in our world – from Chernobyl to natural background radiation. This will have a Science Fair feel, where you can spend as much or as little time as you wish browsing through student topics. We will maximize personal space.
Second, it is an open house. There have been some major improvements to the Rad area within the past year to show off! We have removed all old, unusable x-ray equipment. We’ve acquired a new (to us) digital x-ray machine. Installation has been delayed, but we anticipate progress on the install by the Open House! Also, the furniture in our lecture room has all been replaced with bright, washable individual desks and collaborative tables and chairs. We have acquired a Virtual Reality Lab, where students can practice positioning patients for x-rays with a VR headset. Finally, our presentation equipment has been replaced with a new whiteboard.
This is all so exciting and wonderful! Come see, and help us celebrate progress! Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Save the Date!
Reminder: Volunteer for the Water stop for the Glass City Marathon!!
Mercy College will again have the Water Stop for the Glass City Marathon in Wildwood Metro Park on Sunday, April 24. We are in need of volunteers to pass water to the Marathon runners. This water stop receives the marathon runners twice during the race, Mile 12 and Mile 21.2! It is a fun and rewarding way to spend a Sunday morning!
