Rad Tech and Nursing Students Participate in Communication Lab/SBAR/Escape Room
Rad Tech and Nursing students participated this lab that focuses on interdisciplinary communication in the care of patients using diverse healthcare settings. Communication strategies were discussed along with common communication barriers providing methods to overcome obstacles. Students demonstrate effective communication techniques through participation in an escape room activity and role-play scenarios to facilitate interprofessional collaborative practice.
SBAR is one tool used by healthcare professionals to frame a professional conversation. It ensures communication is timely, clear, accurate, and a complete message is relayed. SBAR promotes effective communication

2023 mandatory learning courses available in Workday July 1
Beginning July 1, mandatory learning courses will be available to complete in Workday. All courses assigned to you must be completed by Nov. 1.
Your annual mandatory learning courses cover important compliance requirements and review critical topics, which empowers you to provide high-quality care and deliver an excellent patient experience. Your mandatory learning courses are required for compliance – if you do not complete your assigned courses in Workday, you will receive corrective action up to and including termination.
