Enrollment Management Update
The Division of Enrollment Management continues to recruit new students, working hard to reach the goal of 520 new students. We are doing several mailings, telephone calls, and text messages to maximize fall enrollment.
Marketing is preparing to launch the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (ABSN) that will begin in the summer semester of 2020. The ABSN is a fifteen-month program for those who have a non-nursing bachelor's degree. The official announcement will be in the next week. Those interested in this program are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office early to allow time to complete any necessary prerequisite courses. More information on this program can be found at www.mercycollege.edu/absn
The Mercy College Catalog is still under review and being updated. The catalog must match the information on the website, Marketing will be making updates once the catalog is finalized. This work is critical this year with our upcoming HLC visit in November 2019.
A change has been implemented by the Federal Government regarding Gainful Employment Rules and Regulations (GE). As of July 1, all prospective students who are interested in credit certificate programs must be notified in a separate email containing employment and salary outcomes. Admissions and Financial Aid have worked with Marketing to develop the communication materials that are now being sent to all prospective students and applicants for programs. Compliance with GE Rules and Regulations is required in order to receive our Title IV funding (Financial Aid) for students.
Special Congratulations to Hannah Firsdon, Admission Officer, on her recent marriage, June 22, 2019, to Josh Bohn. When you have a minute please congratulate the New Mrs. Hannah Bohn!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! If you have questions regarding the above information, or have would like to know more about the recruitment for Fall 2019, please do not hesitate to contact the Enrollment team.
