Glass City Marathon Water Stop
Submitted by Lori Edgeworth
Faculty and Staff: Mark your calendar now to volunteer at the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon, Sunday, April 23, 2023. Mercy College will again sponsor the Water stop in Wildwood Park that receives the marathon runners twice during their 26-mile event. We will be handing out water, energy packets, and other supplies along with cheering on the runners. Each volunteer will receive a t-shirt for their service. Volunteers are needed from 7 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. We close the stop when the last official runner has passed for the second time. Please feel free to bring your family members and friends. I will need a total of 10 – 15 volunteers for the stop. It is really a fun way to spend a Sunday morning! The runners so appreciate the volunteers.
I will send out the link to sign up to volunteer in the next couple of weeks through this newsletter.

RSVP/Order form is available here or in the image above.

News from the Enrollment Division
Members of the enrollment team are delivering succulent plants to guidance counselors, community members, and partners wishing them a SUCCessful 2023. Those that work in the Admission suite are working remotely while the floor is replaced and the walls are painted in that area as part of the refreshing of the space.
There were 35 particpants in the January 25 Healthcare Worker Wednesday (HWW). The prospective students who rsvp'ed but didn't participate have been followed up with by the admissions officers. The next HWW is Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 7pm.
Pictured above is collage of two images of plants and the card from Mercy College wishing recipients a successful 2023.
