Volunteers Needed: Glass City Marathon

Submitted by Lori Edgeworth

The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon will be run in person this year on Sunday, April 25, 2021. The Marathon will look different this year with all the Covid precautions they are taking however there still will be water stops for the runners throughout the Marathon. Mercy College has agreed to handle the Water stop at Mile Marker 9 and 21 of the Race in Wildwood Park. It is the stop that we have done the past couple of years!

I am in need of approximately 10 volunteers to assist with the water stop! We will not be pouring water into cups. We will be placing unopened water bottles on tables for the runners to grab. So it will be a contactless activity! We will be making sure the table is stocked for them and cheering them on!

The time will be approximately 7:30 a.m. until noon on Sunday, April 25.

If you are able to volunteer and assist – Please email lori.edgeworth@mercycollege.edu. Please feel free to bring your family members to volunteer as well!

I will then coordinate the volunteers and be in touch with more details.

Please let me know if you are available by Friday, April 9 so I can get everything set up!

Thanks so much!

Lori
